Works with

Excel and Senda

Excel is Microsoft's spreadsheet application: rows, columns and formulas in a workbook you shape to your own process.

Senda keeps orders, shipments and their documents as one structured record. Customers and orders come in from a CSV or Excel file, and lists go back out as CSV whenever you need a copy.

Bulk import and export are on the Operations plan.

Where Senda stops

Senda doesn't sync with a workbook. An import is a one-time copy you review before it saves, an export is a snapshot, and formulas and formatting stay in Excel.

Using them together

Using Excel with Senda

Lists move between Excel and Senda as files; the record itself lives in Senda.

  1. 1

    Import customers

On the customer list, choose Import customers and upload a CSV or Excel file. From a workbook, Senda reads the first sheet.

  2. 2

    Match the columns

Match your columns to Senda's fields, and review every row before anything is saved.

  3. 3

    Import orders

On the order list, Import orders does the same for your orders.

  4. 4

    Export a copy

Export customers, Export orders and Export shipments, on each list, download a CSV that opens in Excel.

  5. 5

    Tally reports to Excel

A tally report on an order exports to Excel or PDF from its own page.

Each step was checked against Senda on 11 October 2026.

Keep what works

When to keep Excel

  • Keep Excel for analysis, pivot tables and one-off models. Senda's exports are plain CSV, ready to open in it.
  • Keep a side sheet for a step Senda doesn't model. Better that than bending your process to fit the software.
  • Keep the old tracker read-only for history while the orders in flight move across.
