Method
Where the numbers come from.
US Census Bureau, International Trade API (imports by HS, monthly), headings 3303, 3304, 3305, 3307 at the 4-digit level. Korea is Census country code 5800.
- US Census Bureau figures for general imports, by country of origin, as Census reports them each month (the GEN_VAL_MO measure). Census revises recent months; each pull replaces the months it covers, and the changelog says which.
- Four HS headings of chapter 33 only. Soaps (chapter 34) are not in them, and a product's heading is set by its classification, not its marketing.
- Korea-side export statistics measure something else and will not match these figures.
- Data, not advice. Senda files nothing with U.S. Customs and Border Protection or any other authority.
