Assistant tool reference
The 14 read-only tools a connected assistant can use, and what each returns.
Assistants choose these tools for you from what you ask, so you rarely name one. This list is what Senda offers them, word for word. Every tool only reads.
The tools
Get Senda account
get_account: Shows which Senda workspace this connection reads: the company name, its plan, and the tools this connection can use. Use it first to confirm you are looking at the right company's records. Read-only.
List shipments
list_shipments: Lists the company's shipments: shipment number, order, bill of lading and booking numbers, status, estimated and actual delivery dates, origin and destination. Newest first. Page with limit (up to 100) and offset; has_more says whether another page follows. Read-only.
List orders
list_orders: Lists the company's orders: order number, invoice number and order date. Newest first. Page with limit (up to 100) and offset; has_more says whether another page follows. Read-only.
List containers
list_containers: Lists the company's containers: container number, type, ISO code, the dimensions and weights recorded for it, owner, carrier, and the shipments it is linked to. Newest first. Page with limit (up to 100) and offset; has_more says whether another page follows. Read-only.
List documents
list_documents: Lists the documents on the company's orders, shipments and customers: document type, what it is attached to, whether a file was uploaded, and when. Details only: never file contents or download links. Newest first. Page with limit (up to 100) and offset; has_more says whether another page follows. Read-only.
List tally reports
list_tally_reports: Lists the company's tally reports: title, order, container and bundle numbers, date, package details, latest status, total pieces and total board feet. Newest first. Page with limit (up to 100) and offset; has_more says whether another page follows. Read-only.
Get shipment
get_shipment: Gets one shipment by its Senda id, with the same details as list_shipments and a link that opens it in Senda. Use it when you already have the id from a list or from search. Read-only.
Get order
get_order: Gets one order by its Senda id, with the same details as list_orders and a link that opens it in Senda. Use it when you already have the id from a list or from search. Read-only.
Get container
get_container: Gets one container by its Senda id, with the same details as list_containers and a link that opens it in Senda. Use it when you already have the id from a list or from search. Read-only.
Get document details
get_document: Gets one document's details by its Senda id, with the same details as list_documents and a link to the record it is attached to. Details only: never file contents or download links. Read-only.
Get tally report
get_tally_report: Gets one tally report by its Senda id, with the same details as list_tally_reports and a link that opens it in Senda. Use it when you already have the id from a list or from search. Read-only.
Search Senda records
search: Searches the company's shipments, orders, containers, tally reports and documents by number or words: a shipment, bill of lading, booking, order, invoice or container number, a place, a status or a document type. Every word must match. Returns up to 25 results, each with an id to pass to fetch and a link that opens the record in Senda. Read-only.
Fetch a Senda record
fetch: Gets the full record for an id returned by search, as readable text plus the record's details, with a link that opens it in Senda. Read-only.
Find HS codes
find_hs_codes: Suggests up to eight 6-digit HS subheadings for a product described in plain words, most likely first. Codes come only from the tariff nomenclature Senda holds, never invented; no candidates means no confident match. The answer names the US tariff schedule revision it was checked against and carries a broker disclaimer: these are suggestions to confirm with a licensed customs broker, not a classification. Read-only.
Lists and pages
List tools return a page of records, newest first: limit from 1 to 100 (25 unless the assistant asks for more), and offset to read further back. has_more says whether another page follows. The fields match the API reference.
Search, then fetch
search finds records by a number or a few words, and every word must match. It returns up to 25 results, each with an id and a link. fetch reads one of those results in full.
Links
Single records, search results and fetched records come with a link that opens the record in Senda. A document links to the order, shipment or customer it is attached to.
